Vince Marcelo finishes 3rd runner-up in Global Asian Model 2019

Itinanghal na 3rd runner-up sa male division ng first-ever Global Asian Model (GLAM) search ang representative ng Pilipinas na si Vince Marcelo.

Ginanap ang world finals ng model search sa The Cove, Okada Manila, Pasay City, nitong November 21, Huwebes.

Ang grand winners ay parehong mula sa bansang Thailand—sina Falco Sornnarin (male division) at Artittaya Promchart (female division).

Ang kapwa Philippine representative ni Vince na si Ella Lubag ay first runner-up naman sa female division.

Isa si Vince sa early favorites sa GLAM. May mga nag-akalang siya ang mananalo ng titulo among the 38 delegates mula sa iba't bang panig ng mundo tulad ng Nepal, Italy, South Korea, Canada, Vietnam, Western Australia, Cambodia, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, New South Wales, Egypt, at USA.

“Laking ginhawa na knowing na na-serve ko na yung title ko for the Philippines and I won third runner-up for the Global Asian Model International,” sabi ni Vince tungkol sa kanyang third runner-up finish.

Sa umpisa ay nalungkot si Vince, pero natanggap naman niya agad na hindi para sa kanya ang titulo.

Saad niya, “I dunno, I dunno... Yeah I’m expecting, of course, because I know that I did my best to win the competition.

"But, I guess, that my best wasn’t enough for the judges.

"But I’m happy that I am one of the runners-up."

Aminado si Vince na si Falco ang itinuring niyang toughest and closest competitor among the male candidates.

“Because of his height… I dunno, I just see all of them as my competition, like Mongolia.

"But I have considered Thailand as a strong competitor also because of his height."

PLANS AFTER GLOBAL ASIAN MODEL

Given a chance, sasali ba siyang muli sa isang contest o pageant?

Sagot ni Vince, "No, probably this will be my last competition.

"I have no plans of joining any other competition."

Itutuloy ni Vince ang modelling career niya sa ibang bansa.

“Actually I’m planning to go overseas after my school so that’s, like, one year and a half from now.

“Maybe I’ll try first the Asian countries like Thailand, Singapore, and maybe I’m gonna build some good portfolios so I can go to the United States and Europe, maybe.

“That’s my dream, New York Fashion Week!”

Biro namin kay Vince, tama ngang mag-establish muna siya ng modelling career sa Thailand kung saan galing ang tumalo sa kanya sa GLAM world finals.

“Yeah, let’s see. I’m gonna see Mr. Thailand soon!” ang tumatawang sabi ni Vince.

Ano ang mga susunod niyang plano ngayong tapos na ang GLAM?

“I don’t know, I don’t know what my plans are after this.

"Maybe I’ll focus more on my studies, then on my career after siguro.”

Kumukuha ng kursong Business Management sa De La Salle University si Vince. Wala raw intensiyon si Vince na pasukin ang showbiz at mag-artista.

“I think I have no plans. I dunno, maybe I’m just for fashion and modelling.

“I just want to be a well-known model not an artist in the Philippines.”

Ano ang ayaw niya sa showbiz?

“Just too much, like invading of privacy.

"I just want a private life and, yeah, that’s it.”

Walang karelasyon si Vince.

“I’m not dating anyone, I’m single and ready to mingle!”
